The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham

The Centre is a pleasant place to stay from which to visit either this Anglican shrine or the Roman Catholic one situated a mile away. Both continue to attract many thousands of people every year.

Open: 

Open February to November, everyone welcome. Closed December and January.

Accommodation: 

59 singles. 56 doubles. 13 triples.

Facilities: 

Disabled. Conferences, garden, library, guest lounge, TV, pay phone. Children welcome.

Spiritual help: 

No facilities for silence and spiritual direction only on request. Personal talks. Group sharing on retreat. There is a Shrine priest who can help with spiritual programs.

Guests admitted to: 

Church. Chapel. Shrine room. Work of Community.

Meals: 

Everyone eats together. Traditional simple food. Vegetarians and special diets. DIY facilities.

Special activities: 

Each weekend there is a programme organised by the parish groups attending. This usually includes Stations of the Cross, Procession and Benediction.

Situation: 

Rather busy in the village.
