Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest (Mark 6:31)

Ecumenical.

Here is your opportunity to find a quiet sanctuary to reflect somewhere near at hand without going away from home on a retreat. The Quiet Garden Trust movement begun in 1992 and was the vision of Revd Philip D. Roderick. The trust encourages provision of local venues where there is an opportunity to set aside time to rest and prayer. A quiet garden comes into being when someone opens their home and garden for occasional days of stillness and reflection. It may also be in a retreat centre or local church. The vision of the Quiet Garden Trust is to initiate and resource a network of local opportunities, mainly in private homes and gardens for prayer, silence, reflection and the appreciation of beauty; for learning about Christian life and spirituality; and for experiencing creativity and healing in the context of God's love.
