The Ashburton Centre for Holistic Education and Training was founded in 1994 to provide personal development, spiritual, healing, environmental and related residential courses within a supportive Community. Guests join the Community during their stay so that a feeling of belonging and family is generated. The programme on offer covering a wide variety of modern approaches to spirituality. -For example, meditation, Qi Gong, Shiatsu as spiritual practice, choice and transformation seminars, healing, yoga, and voice workshops. The centre is in the town, but there are many good country and woodland walks nearby. The Centre is also a home of The Carers Trust offering a range of retreat breaks which are bursary funded for carers in the community and  for professional carers such as nurses and social and health workers. 

Open: All year. Receives men, women, groups. 

Rooms: 4 singles. 3 twin doubles. 2 three-bed rooms. No smoking. No outside shoes worn in the house. 

Facilities: Garden, guest lounge, TV, payphone. 

Spiritual Help: Meditation. Yoga, body exercises, Tai Chai. 

Guests Admitted to: Unrestricted access 

Meals: Everyone eats together. Whole food vegetarian.

Situation: In a small town adjoining Dartmoor National Park. 

Maximum Stay: By arrangement. Bookings: Letter, telephone, fax – 9AM-6PM 

Charges: £25 B&B, weekend retreats about £115, weekend courses £155, holidays only from £345. 

Access: Train: Newton Abbot mainline station is 10 minutes away. The Centre will collect you. Car route with easy access from M5.
