This is a 200-year old cheerful looking country-house, set in six acres of garden and peaceful countryside. The Centre is staffed by Oblate Fathers and some forty guests can be accommodated. The aim is to enable those who come here to wind down from the stresses and strains of modern living and to enter into a deeper experience of prayer and reflection in the presence of Christ. Much effort goes into making guests feel comfortable with professional catering for meals and log fires in the winter months. The retreats and courses on offer are wide ranging. Private retreats with spiritual accompaniment ca be arranged. 

Open: All year except first half of August. Receives all. 

Rooms: 2 single, 18 doubles, some ensuite. 

Facilities: Disabled - some ground floor rooms. Conferences, chapel, large garden, library, guest lounge, TV, guest phone. Children welcomed. Sopiritual direction. Personal retreat direction..

Guests Admitted to: Unrestricted access to all areas, including chapel. 

Meals: Everyone eats together. Traditional whole food. Vegetarian, vegan and special diets catered. 

Special Activities: Planned programme of events from time to time. Autumn Venture, Advent Retreats, The Effects of Colour on our Well-being, Touched by God, Massage: The Art of Anointing are some of the courses that can be on offer. 

Situation: Very quiet, in the village. Maximum Stay: Usually a week or length of course.

Charges: Day rate, non-residential £20, residential day rate £30, weekend £60 full board, reduced prices for students, unwaged and senior citizens. B&B £20. Directed retreat £30 per day. 

Access: Train: to Crewe, then 5 minutes by taxi to Centre. Car:via M6.
