| Welcome to this small monastery, The Assisi of the South Lakes. As members of the Tau Interfaith Franciscan Community of Saint Francis, the monks, friends and oblates live to a simple rule by honouring the Divine within everything and everyone that moves, lives and breathes. The friendly Monastic Guest House endorses the Charter of Compassion by welcoming brothers and sisters from the Abrahamic Faith Community [ the children of Abraham who in religious terms are considered the Jews, Christians, and Muslims ] together with all other faith communities who seek Stillness - Peace and Respite in relaxed surroundings where time stands still. | |||
