La Ville Davy is a converted farm in Brittany in North West France. It dates from some 400 years ago and today provides comfortable retreat accommodation. It is situated on the edge of the village of St Helen, just 8kms east of the medieval town of Dinan and 25kms south of the ferry port of St Malo - so it is very convenient if you are coming from England. La Ville Davy is set within 3 acres of secluded and peaceful gardens and fringes the Forest of Coetquen with a variety of trail walks and wild life.The centre is run by experienced lay Buddhist practitioners following the Serene Reflection Meditation Tradition (Soto Zen)
The centre offers space for regular Buddhist retreats. There is a schedule of Mindfulness Courses for both beginners and regular practitioners. In addition there is residential and appointment based therapeutic assistance by registered U.K. and Jersey States Health Service psychotherapists. We are also willing to offer the centre for complimentary events. People can also simply come for a quiet personal rest, renewal and reflection.
