Inter-Denominational
Hampton Manor is set in two and a half acres of very picturesque and tranquil countryside in the Tarmar Valley, which is the border between Devon and Cornwall. The manor is midway between north and south coasts with their very different coastlines and also midway between Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, both of which have many interesting walks. There are delightful gardens and National Trust properties within easy reach as is the fabulous Eden Project - and the historic city of Plymouth is just over half an hour away. Of course some who come on a retreat here, do not wish to leave the immediate vicinity and there are many walks of varying degrees of challenge, which can be undertaken around Hampton Manor itself. Indeed, many seeking peace and seculsion are often satisfied with the little walks in the manor's lovely gardens where seats that can be discovered in its sheltered recesses. In all but the winter months, the conservatory is a comfortable favourite, only to be bettered on certain days by an easy chair and log fire in the lounge.
With only six spacious twin or double bedrooms, most of which are en-suite, you will be assured of the peace and privacy you will probably be seeking - and the quality of food and service is appreciated by all.

Although there are relatively few organised Quiet Days on the calendar of events for the coming year, the trained counsellors and ministry teams leaders at Hampton Manor can offer support to those who need more than just a physical break. Everyone at Hampton Manor looks forward to hearing from you.
