Christian Based Open retreat Centre
The Coach House is a lay retreat place where you can relax, reflect, study and recover some inner direction to face the strains of your ordinary life. We found it an extremely restful place, with spectacular views over the Moray Firth and marvelous woodland and beach walks – the wild flowers and bird life is renowned. The vision of the Coach House is to provide space for seekers exploring the interface between Christian and other faiths, and also the interaction between the psyche and the inner Spirit. This approach offers a thoughtful bridge between Christianity and aspects of what we now call Mind-Body & Spirit spirituality. The work here is to provide the space and guidance for this to happen with individual retreats and workshops. Many people come here who cannot articulate exactly what it is they are searching for as well as those with a particular faith tradition who wish to stretch the boundaries of their previous understanding of their beliefs. Open: March to December. Receives everyone. 

Rooms: 4 singles in house plus 1 single in cottage. 2 doubles. 

Facilities: Garden, library, guest lounge. 

Spiritual Help: Personal talks. Group sharing. Spiritual direction. Personal retreat direction. Meditation. Directed study. Workshops. Bereavement and transpersonal counseling. 

Guests Admitted to: Unrestricted access. 

Meals: Everyone eats together. Traditional/ vegetarian food. Special diets.

Situation: Very quiet overlooking the Firth with woods, beach and hill walking at hand. 

Maximum Stay: Open. Bookings: Letter, telephone 9.15AM or 8.30PM, fax, E-mail, online. Charges: Charges vary and are listed on the current brochure. These may run from about £17 per day and £78 for two nights to £200 residential for a 6-day retreat. 

Access: Train, bus, air, and car all possible. As collection may be possible from arrival points.
