Established in 1982 by Linda Christie, the Centre of Light has been highly commended in the Good Retreat Guide for many years. Linda has helped many people develop their potential and a retreat can be a step towards directly contacting your own inner knowing. Further training in breath and energy work, healing, meditation and Resonance Kinesiology is available if you are interested. From her experience Linda has evolved Resonance Kinesiology, a system that looks at the many levels of reality and empowers you to communicate directly with your own wisdom and love. You need no previous experience of retreat or working on yourself to enjoy a visit. If you have explored meditation or therapy but still feel there are more levels to understand, this is a great place to gain insight and healing. Sessions with Linda at the Centre, over the phone or by e-mail cost £50 per hour. When working with Linda accommodation costs £60 per day, £40 each for two or three people sharing. Food of your choice is included in this price and special diets are catered for. You can also plan and create your own retreat. Fuaran is light and spacious, the perfect place to write, relax or meditate. Although ideal for an individual, up to three people can stay in Fuaran, with one double room downstairs, a single bed upstairs, a large living area and a shower room. Towels and sheets are provided. Fuaran has its own small kitchen for drinks and snacks, the main kitchen is nearby where you can cook and relax. Facilities include a library, CD player and satellite TV, should you wish to keep in touch with the world. The cost is £400 per week or £55 per day, minimum stay three days. Accommodation only retreats are self-catering. Most of all Linda enjoys working with someone in depth over a period of five to seven days. These guided retreats work well, offering a flexible and varied itinery, created in response to each visitors needs. Over a relatively short period of time real progress and understanding can happen, with the opportunity to continue the process when back at home. Travel to Inverness is now easy and cheap, especially from the South East and London. From Inverness you can arrange to be picked up for £30 return. A very beautiful and gentle place to stay, whether for quiet solitary time, spiritual retreat or therapeutic work. Linda has developed a unique system for helping individuals in a loving environment to access deeper levels of consciousness and discern the light and dark in themselves. – using meditation techniques and resonance kinesiology to access truth, and be enabled to grow in wisdom and love. Visitors stay in a purpose-built retreat cottage with a double bedroom, a gallery with two single beds, a bathroom, meditation space and separate well-equipped cabin for cooking and eating. Further up the hill there is a secluded hermitage for private retreats or extra accommodation. The Centre has five acres of woodland and gardens and from here you can explore the rivers, forests and mountains – wonderful Highland country.
