The stone house in Istria
The owners of Transition, Shirely and Nigel Heyward, are passionate about Croatia and the retreat that they have made there. The old stone house is some 200 years old and has been renovated to the highest standards where peacefulness and comfort are key notes. The whole aim is for you to relax and rejuvenate. There are four bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, utility room, and a large terrace outside. All this has been done in a rustic style, perserving the traditional Croatian features as much as possible, yet bringing in the latest in modern living including Engish language television for those that want it..

The swimming polo is located near the house in a garden which has a large Istrian barbecue with several quiet areas for reading or meditation. With access to the sea, sightseeing in nearby ancient hilltop villages and all around view of the beautiful natural landscapes, Transitions offers a retreat with a real difference in a place that is still new and exciting. Motovun
The Therapy Area & What is on offer Therapies, such as aromatherapy massage, reiki, and reflexology are carried out in a secluded private area of the garden during the warm summer months. In the cooler months therapies are offered to guests in the privacy of their own rooms. The Heywards combine many skills to offer at the retreat. Shirley is a complementary therapist, which includes aromatherapy, reflexology, Life Coaching, and Psychosynthesis and she is a Reiki Master Teacher. Nigel is an outdoor enthusiast - canoeing, cycling, and sailing. He can help you with these if you are interested and can also take you to places of interest in Istria, and act as your guide to the region. Prices vary according to season and up-to-date rates are available on Transition's website, as above. As with most retreats unless they are denoted as family ones, Transitions is an retreat for adults and children over 16 years of age. .
